U.S. MOUNTAIN BIKE CALENDAR
As a sideshow, the U.S. Mountain Bike Cross-Country Calendar was continued last week. It was also included in the Norba U.S. National Championships held at Mount Snow Resort in Vermont. Here’s a look at who leads the U.S. Mountain Bike Cross-Country Calendar standings following 21 events. Notice that none of these riders have raced in any of the 21 events. What kind of series is this?

The Sugar Mountain Norba National, which will be held in Banner Elk (NC), and the Galena Grinder, which will be held in Ketchum, ID, will both take place. Are there two races of equal importance that take place on the same racing weekend and the same racing calendar?

U.S. GRAVITY CALENDAR
Norbas U.S. National also maintained the U.S. Mountain Bike Gravity Calendar
Vermont Championships Few Americans can comprehend what’s really happening with the Super D, Dual Slalom, and Downhill competitions offering calendar points.
Is it logical for Adam Craig, a cross-country rider who won the U.S. National Cross-Country title in Vermont, and Cole Bangert to compete in the same series? Is it possible to win the U.S. Downhill title with cross-country rider Adam Craig? This is pure idiocy.

Here are the U.S. Mountain Bike Gravity Calendar Standings after 11 events.

The next U.S. Mountain Bike Gravity Calendar event will be the July 28-29 Full Tilt, Telluride CO. This will include downhill as well as 4-Cross competitions. Sugar Mountain Norba National will include Super D, downhill and 4-Cross competitions. USACyclings wisdom was so great that they included two races on the same U.S. Mountain Bike Gravity Calendar, on top of each others and on the exact same weekend.

We can’t just bring Norba back.
